How to Use Rosehip Seed Oil for Glowing, Hydrated Skin

Rosehip seed oil is one of the most versatile ingredients in natural skincare — but a lot of people buy a bottle, use it once or twice, and never get real results because they're using it wrong. Here's how to actually get the benefits.

What Rosehip Seed Oil Actually Does

Cold-pressed, unrefined rosehip seed oil is naturally rich in vitamin A (in the form of retans), linoleic and linolenic essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. Together, these support skin cell turnover, help fade the appearance of dark spots and scarring, and reinforce the skin's moisture barrier. Unlike heavier oils, it absorbs quickly and won't leave a greasy film.

How to Apply It

  1. Cleanse first. Apply rosehip oil to clean, slightly damp skin — damp skin helps the oil seal in more moisture.
  2. Use 3–4 drops. Warm the oil between your palms, then press (don't rub) it into your face and neck.
  3. Apply it last. Oils should generally go after water-based serums, not before — they sit on top and lock everything else in.
  4. Use it at night. Rosehip oil can make skin slightly more sun-sensitive, so nighttime use is ideal, followed by SPF in the morning.

Our Certified Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is cold-pressed and unrefined, which preserves more of the naturally occurring vitamin A and fatty acids than heat-processed versions.

How Long Until You See Results

Most people notice softer, more hydrated skin within a week. Improvements in tone, texture, and scarring typically take 4–8 weeks of consistent nightly use — skincare ingredients like this work gradually, not overnight.
